Schools Outreach

We do our best to provide tailored school talks and workshops to educate children and young people on the issues affecting people seeking protection, such as:
Understanding the meaning of ‘refugee’ and ‘asylum seeker’ Current world affairs relating to refugees Understanding persecution What life is like for a person seeking protection in Ireland
As we are quite a small team we may not always be able to meet requests but can refer you to local organisations working in your area who may be able to facilitate a school talk for you if we are unable. We ask for a small donation of €50 for our school visits.

We have also provided the following teaching and learning resources for teachers and educators on the refugee crisis, Direct Provision and what it is like to be an asylum seeker here in Ireland.
