Global law firm, DLA Piper, in partnership with the Irish Refugee Council's ‘Know Your Rights’ programme provides legal education to people seeking protection and refugees to better advocate for themselves and know their rights in Ireland. 

In Ireland alone, over 1,000 people have benefitted from this programme, learning not just their rights but also how to advocate for themselves within the legal system. Approximately 600 participants attended the 2024 edition of the KYR program in Ireland.

One of the programme's most impactful aspects is its ability to create direct employment pathways for refugees and asylum seekers. In partnership with Deloitte, KYR participants in Ireland who complete the programme have access to paid internships. This initiative offers real employment opportunities, enabling participants to apply their skills in a professional setting and contribute meaningfully to the economy.
