Information and Advocacy Service

Our Information and Advocacy team offers free and confidential information and advice to international protection applicants and refugees on a variety of topics, including:  

  • The International Protection Process

  • Direct Provision 

  • Family Reunification

  • Homelessness

If you have a query, please call our General Helpline: 01 7645854. It is open Thursdays, between 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm.

Alternatively, you can email [email protected] and we will respond to your query as soon as possible. If you wish to speak to a caseworker in-person, appointments can be organised for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please be aware, our office is closed to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you have an urgent query on those days, please call our Reception on 01 764 5062.

Team Impact in 2023

  • 20,405 incoming calls to our general helpline 
  • 1,529 cases on Salesforce responded to
  • 459 homeless people supported
  • 2,666 email queries responded to
  • 164 family reunification applications supported
  • 598 people at risk of homelessness assisted
