What should I do when I arrive in Ireland? I need accommodation when I arrive?

Anyone needing accommodation should indicate this to the immigration authorities on arrival at Dublin Airport. They will contact the Government department responsible for accommodation for those Ukrainians.

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive at the Border you will present (as normal) to an Immigration Officer. You should present any identification documentation available. You will move to the Dublin airport processing centre where you will be asked some basic questions in relation to your needs.

You should be given a letter confirming that you have been granted Temporary Protection under Section 60 Section of the International Protection Act, the Temporary Protection Directive (2001/55/EC) and Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382 of 4 March 2022. You should also be given the opportunity to apply for a PPS number and social welfare payment.

I arrived before the airport processing centre was set up on March 9th, what should I do?

Ukraine support centres are opening in Cork and Dublin city. If you live elsewhere, please attend your local Intreo Centre. In this way you should be able to apply for a PPSN and social welfare payment however it still remains unclear if people can also register under Temporary Protection in this way. More info here.
