A PPS Number is a unique reference number that helps you access social welfare benefits, public services and information in Ireland.

Typically, you will apply for a PPSN at the same time that you apply for International Protection at the IPO or Citywest. You should receive a letter which confirms you have applied. You can then collect your PPSN from your local Intreo Centre within 4 working days.

If you are homeless, you should attend the following social welfare office to collect your PPSN: Elizabeth O Farrel House 19 .28 Cumberland St N, Rotunda, Dublin, 1
