The report is a submission by the Irish Refugee Council to the Third Report on Ireland adopted by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) on 15 December 2006. Focus is kept on those in the asylum process, including those who are finally rejected and subjected to deportation procedures, rather than upon those who have obtained refugee status, addressing concerns that the asylum system in Ireland militates against the rights of those seeking international protection highlighting their particular experience of racism and intolerance.
