Hanna joined the Drop-in Centre information and referral service as a caseworker in 2019, providing information and advice on a range of issues associated with the international protection process. She was appointed Information and Casework Advocacy Manager in October 2020. 

She completed her LLM in Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland Galway in the same year, having previously completed a Masters in International Development in Madrid, Spain.

Before joining the drop-in service, Hanna had previously carried out a casework internship with the Migrant Rights Centre of Ireland and has volunteered with asylum seekers in Galway, Belgium and Spain. 

Hanna's position is partly funded by the Scheme to Support National Organisations which is funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Rural and Community Development.
